In our locality we are known as a sports lover organization. We support all kind of sports but our speciality is in Football. Since 1970 we have been coaching football from child to young adult.The coaching centre was inaugurated by Sri Prasun Bannerjee (M.P., Former Captain, Indian Football Team), Sri Shambhu Moitra, Sri Nikhil Nandi (Olympian). Now the number of students   of our football coaching camp is being increased day by day (its now  100) & at least 100 out of our students played in Calcutta Football League on behalf of several teams.It is a matter to be proud that some of our student also played for India & got national reputation.Coaching is provided by the veteran persons, who once used to play in the same playground.At present  100 boys are being guided in the camp of the age from 5-17 years old and they are under the supervision  of Sri Goutam Saha ( Coached  : Bengal, Eastern Railway, BNR), Mrityunjay Hazra (Coached : Tollygunge, East Bengal), Partho Chakraborty (Coached : Air India), Keshob Biswas (Coached : Calcutta Police).

Though we have glorious achievements in our journey but in spite of being champions of several tournaments, it is right now too difficult to provide proper facilities to our learners.  Many of them belong to lower-middle class family where playing football is equal  to day dreaming as their income is not so much high. Their growing up body require healthy food but due to lack of healthy food, food supplement some times they cannot mange with circumstances during match.  We want to give best football facilities to our novices along with a good quality gymnasium. As football is a body contact game, so the player needs to be fit from both physically and mentally. Proper gym session makes the players strong, flexible, raise the stamina in them. There is a big possibility in some of our students to become a star player in coming days and our coaches are trying to give their best to sharp their skills, so that they can have a bright future ahead. Our coaches deserve proper remuneration but we are not so much sufficient to do this. The above mentioned hurdles are making boundary in our novices and coaching camps future. But we have to move forward overcoming the obstacles. So we need your help.

Bharati Milan Sangha is a very prominent face in North 24 Parganas District Sports Association since 1974. We participate in District Football League.

Since 1980’s we have been running a “Football Coaching Camp” for the youth.

At present 100 boys (7 -17) age group are nourished in our football coaching camp.

Coaches are:

  • Mr. Mrittunjoy Hazra – Ex. State Player, played East Bengal, Aryance Club etc.
  • Mr. Goutam Saha – Ex. Player and Coach of Eastern Railways and Junior National.
  • Mr. Partho Chakraborty – Ex. Captain of Air India football team.
  • Mr. Subhonkar Sengupta – Ex. Player of different prominent clubs of Kolkata.
  • Mr. Keshob Biswas - Ex. Player of different prominent clubs of Kolkata.
  • Mr. Sukdev Khaskel - Ex. Player of different prominent clubs of Kolkata.

Our Ex Coaches : Prasun Banerjee (now he is a MP), Sankar Sarkar, Sambhu Moitra, Nanda Das, Dilip Palit etc.

 

We organize Junior Gold Cup Football Tournament in every two years basis. Tournament is generally “Under -18” basis. Among the participating teams there are

  • Mohan Bagan
  • East Bengal
  • Sports Authority of India
  • Mohamedan Sporting
  • Avenue Sammileni
  • Kalyani Football Academy

Once the football tournament was sponsored by Novino Battery Company. Next, came “Peerless” as a sponsor.

Now we are looking for a Good sponsor for our Gold Cup football tournament and our football Academy.

Our Gold- Cup football tournament is time to time highly appreciated by well known footballer of India like Bhaskar Ganguli, Samaresh Chowdhury, Manoranjan Bhattacharjee, Sailen Manna, Balaram, Dilip Palit, Krishanu De, Bikash Paji etc and IFA.

Other Sports

In the recent past we had the Cricket Academy. Our play ground is being renovated. We are eagerly waiting to start our “Cricket Academy” again. We take part in District Level Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton etc. We organized “All Bengal Chess” and Carrom Competition. We also organized Chess Academy for a long time. We have the Table Tennis Board where youths of our locality take part.

Thus we are the Nursery where children get their first feeding for the future life. They grow up becomes the youth. They earn their physical fitness. With the big play ground and green they earn their mental strength.

Some become good player, some may not be but adore all form our nursery good citizen’s are coming out decades after decades.
